Dear Parkinson’s Runners and Walkers,
We hope this letter finds you well. As we move through the holiday season we hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday and a fantastic start to 2021. With all the changes that 2020 has brought to our lives, we wanted to announce yet one more change to the Parkinson’s team.
For the past 8 years (9 including 2020) the extended family and friends of Bob Nasett, have pulled together to put in countless hours organizing and carrying out a race that not only allowed people to race, but it also raised critical funding for people living with parkinsons in Wisconsin. We made friendships and have learned so much from each and every one of you, we feel so blessed to have had the support from runners, walkers, volunteers and sponsors along the way. The outpouring of love and support in the Parkinson’s community is absolutely amazing and we know the commitment to helping people living with parkinsons will continue for many years.
That being said, we have made the difficult decision to hand over the race logistics to the WI Chapter of the APDA for the 2021 event. While we are sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are confident the APDA will continue with the same mission and vision we had. It is our hope that the race continues with the same values and traditions we have built over the last 8-9 years.
The new race directors are currently working on logistics for the 2021 event. Thank you for your patience as they are learning and making plans to put on a fantastic race for you. They will be communicating out the 2021 event as soon as they lock in a date and all deferrals and coupon codes from the 2020 event will be honored.
Thank you all so much for all your support. We hope to see you out on the roads and trails as soon as possible!
All our Best,
The extended Family and Friends of the Nasett Family
